Role title              : Consultant - FICO

Location               : Pune

Role Purpose

Consultant - FICO is responsible to translate business goals into appropriate solutions while assessing feasibility and optimization of the solution. Provides guidance in the definition of solution design practices and standards that link back to SAP best practices. Important is a good understanding of SAP FICO and MDG to steer discussions and achieve results. For the collaboration with experts from Controlling, Accounting, IT, Management and External consultants sensitivity and assertiveness are required.
 

Since master data Management is interlinked with many businesses, it is necessary to document, model and present ideas and suggestions in a way that show the benefits for the business. The capability to communicate the necessity of mature master data management to all stakeholders will be an important part of the job.

Experience required for the role

• Overall minimum 8-12 years of core domain experience in Finance master data & project consulting pertaining to Master Data.
• Expertise in SAP FICO and Finance Operations (preferred in ATR)
• Hands on experience with Data Governance tools (SAP MDG, Informatica 360 and Service Now).
• Must have a good knowledge on key finance master data attributes such as GL, Cost Center, and Profit Center. A clear understanding of the finance data object business requirements, flow and end usage in Finance Operations from consulting perspective.
• Proven experience in the Finance Master Data Management (MDM) area, especially understanding of the following topics: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Consolidation, Funds Mgt., Special Purpose Ledger. Configuration: Product costing, Profit Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, Activity Based Costing, AIF Handling.
• SME around Master data for Finance and act as operational decision gateway for future changes.
• A good understanding of the correlation between the key Finance Master Objects and other master objects of cross BAUs (Ex. Vendor/ Customer).
• Project Management:

• Must have exposure/ involvement into Data Transformation projects or Implementation such as MDG FI, SAP FICO and S4 HANA.
• Awareness on Project Management: Proper Execution of Project Plans & deliverable. Understanding of technical requirements, Co-Ordinate with Dependent teams for executions.

• Change Communication: Appropriately communicates project status, escalates issues, and manages timelines and action items.
• Must have finance business experience working on SAP planning, design and implementation of projects
• Proven experience transitioning Functional Requirement to Technical Requirements
• Consulting / Service mindset with good communication, stakeholder management.
• Master data strategy (concept of strategy definition, alignment with IT- and business-strategy)
• Governance and organization (creation and content of policies, MDM-roles, knowledge of different MDM-organizational forms)
• Data Quality Management (Understanding of Data Cleansing, Data migration, Archiving, Data Life Cycle concepts)
• Proven hands-on experience with SAP ERP, knowledge of (major) technical SAP-tables for (important) data objects, experience with queries, basic knowledge data dictionary, capability to analyze transactional documents with a focus on master data
• Moderation and integration capability with different teams and departments, capability to work closely with IT and Business Units
• Knowledge & Awareness of Error Handling Tools is an added advantage

Capabilities required for the role

• Have worked in cross functional domain (e.g., A2R, Finance IT Transformation, IT, IT Support for Master Data)
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) /Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliation process would be beneficial i.e., person having good accounting experience
• Must have ground working experience on SAP ERP/ SAP MDG FI / SAP FICO.
• Elementary Project Management Skills: Understanding of Functional/ Technical Requirements
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good stakeholder management experience
• Have good Analytical and Problem-Solving skills
• Ability to work independently and self-driven

Education required:

• B.Com/M.Com/MBA Finance/B.Tech /MCA /BCA/BBA with relevant experience.
• SAP Certification in FICO will be an added advantage.
