Location: Paulinia- SP 

Role Porpuse

Across all projects managed by Engineering in a region:
1. To define and spread best practice, ensure consistency of approach and report on adequacy of project controls on a portfolio level (Build KPI, use of same forms and processes).
2. To manage the regional implementation and long-term sustainability
3. To help project teams define external resources to support project implementation in the area of project controls.
4. Responsibility for HSE activities n the field and planning.
5. Construction management

Accountabilities

• Project Professionalism:
o Actively engage project teams to ensure consistency and professionalism of approach in all disciplines and provide support on specific issues as appropriate.
o Report to the PMO Latam the projects KPI´s in a higher level.
o Support project teams to identify the type and scale of external resources required on a project and help to manage the procurement of these resources at a local and re-gional level.
o Measure and report benefit delivery associated with key investments or change pro-jects (CI program).

• Manage implementation:
o Assist in the peer review, constructability session and review of capital proposals being submitted for sanction.
o The job holder may also manage a small team of administrative staff
o Audit EPP standards application by the Project Managers and Coordinators across the region.
o Monitor and consolidate the HSE KPI`s for the region.
o Support project teams to implement best practice on construction contracting strate-gies, contractor pre-qualification, contractor management, progress reporting and com-missioning
o Demonstrate a personal contribution to year-on-year improvement in construction safety across the region through the use of lead indicators and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified engineering
  • Fluent in English
  • Spanish intermediate
  • PMP differential
  • Track record of successful capital project delivery
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Leadership, networking, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence colleagues at all levels and operates effectively in a matrix organization

Critical experience

  • 10 years working experience in a project controls / engineering project management
  • Solid experience in Project Management, HSE and Construction Management
  • High level knowledge of HSE standards on chemicals, best practice and practical strategies for achieving high HSE standards in the project environment
