To support that challenge, the team is currently seeking a part-time Communications Intern to work at the Greensboro, NC site. From September to December 2023, you will work with and learn from the highest-performing team in the industry, with an opportunity to take on projects with various teams and leaders across the business. As a Communications Intern at Syngenta, you will gain exposure to local, regional and global campaigns. Work with us and you’ll get:

Estimated Duration: September 2023-December 2023 

You will:  

  • Learn the fundamentals of corporate communications 
  • Write articles for our intranet, newsletters, and more 
  • Plan in-person, on-site events 
  • Assist in the planning of the grand opening of our new North America Crop Protection Headquarters 
  • Video and podcast production with senior leaders 
  • Help create social media content 
  • Construct employee communications 
  • Develop skills and experience to further your career 
  • Own and advance specific projects, while also being exposed to different areas of the business 
  • Work part-time for a maximum of 20 hours per week, schedule permitting 

Qualifications

What you must have: 

  • Enrollment in a Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, or other closely related field of study 
  • Current or rising junior or senior class standing 
  • Knowledge of AP Style  
  • Strong writing skills for a variety of needs (i.e. news, podcasts, videos, social media, and more)  
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Forms, and Outlook
  • Adaptability  

What you might also contribute to the team: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills  
  • Ability to lead, be self-directed and to work as part of a team 
  • Creative, critical-thinking skills
