Job description

Accountabilities:

  • Implement AWS Solutions by utilizing various AWS services such as EC2, Load Balancers, VPC, Firewalls, S3, RDS, VPC, SQS & SNS to meet business requirements.
  • Implement CI/CD for the organization.
  • Modernize applications from legacy EC2 services to Serverless/docker based architecture.
  • Develop reusable, efficient, and scalable python modules to automate manual tasks in AWS infrastructure.
  • Re-architect applications from traditional server-based architecture to AWS docker container-based services such as EKS & Fargate.
  • Partner with customers to implement serverless applications using Lambda, API Gateway and Cognito.
  • Use Python boto3 module to automate AWS IAM Keys rotation, notify users of AWS guard duty security findings/vulnerabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve the root cause of AWS & Azure platform incidents.
  • Work closely with Syngenta Cloud architects to implement newly launched AWS services.
  • Work cross-functionally with various intuit teams: Product management, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results.

Qualifications

Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study and five (5) years in the position offered or as an AWS Developer, Software Developer, or a closely related occupation.

Requires five (5) years of experience with: Cloud & Compute technologies; AWS Cloud Native services; deploying infrastructure into AWS & Azure cloud platform; deliver engineering practices and guidance across the SDLC; API traffic management, authentication, authorization, monitoring and version management; writing clean, secure, test driven, maintainable, and modular codes; AWS Services including IAM, Lambda, Cloud watch, Event Bridge, CloudTrail, EC2, S3, Guard duty, Fargate, and Systems Manager; REST APIs and Microservice architecture; deploying CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or GitLab CI; infrastructure-as-code with tools including Terraform or CloudFormation templates; collaborative software development environment including centralized source control, CI/CD, and standard code reviews.

Salary: $120,000/year. Position based in Durham, NC. Position inludes option to telecommute from within commuting distance of this office.

Must pass a background check and drug test before beginning employment.
