Job description

The Business Manager Poland and Baltics is a key role responsible for developing and managing Syngenta Professional Solutions (SPS) business in Poland and the Baltic countries. This position focuses on driving growth in Garden Controls, PPM, Home Pest, and Ornamental businesses by delivering innovative solutions and creating new markets.

The role requires a strategic mindset to establish appropriate Go-to-Market models and coordinate commercial portfolio, brand, service, and offer strategies for SPS business in the territory.

Location: Poland 

Work format: hybrid / fully remote (willingness to travel is essential)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a 5-year strategic plan for SPS business in Poland and Baltics, aligning with territory strategies
  • Set and achieve ambitious sales, market share, and financial targets for the region
  • Lead the development and implementation of Go-to-Market strategies for key segments, including bio control, bio stimulant, and fertilizers
  • Manage the P&L for the region, ensuring accurate forecasting and budgeting
  • Collaborate with local CP organization to drive business growth in assigned countries
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, and partners
  • Identify market trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision-making
  • Lead and develop Professional Solutions with the help and resources of Syngenta Crop Protection supporting functions 
  • Ensure effective pricing strategies and portfolio management to maximize sales and profit

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a relevant field such as Agriculture, Business, or Marketing
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the agriculture industry or FMCG sector, with a focus on marketing and sales
  • Proven track record in business management, portfolio development, and successful product launches
  • Experience in Key Account Management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing campaigns and build brands
  • Excellent understanding of market dynamics and competitive environments
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
  • Fluency in English and Polish
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (mainly Poland)
