Job description

Role Purpose Drive Syngenta Biological & Seedcare™ strategy across Tunisia/Algeria/Libya "TAL" countries, ensuring resource alignment with business priorities. Provide technical and marketing support for product launches and lifecycle management. Act as the Biological & Seedcare™ champion in TAL, implementing customer-focused strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Achieve TAL Biological & Seedcare™ sales targets and 5YP goals
    • Adapt AME strategy to local needs
    • Develop portfolio strategies aligned with TAL requirements
    • Evaluate business opportunities for 5YP growth
    • Enhance market intelligence
  2. Implement Syngenta Biological & Seedcare™ strategy
    • Collaborate on local trials and technical evidence
    • Engage customer teams with Syngenta offerings
    • Define product positioning with AME Team
    • Ensure technical recommendations inform marketing
    • Prepare for successful NPI/PLCM
  3. Serve as Biological & Seedcare™ champion in TAL
    • Provide agronomic support and training
    • Analyze trial data and share insights
    • Align on trial methodologies with BA TECHNICAL
    • Design demo trials and protocols
    • Be the primary contact for Marketing and Technical topics
    • Coordinate strategy implementation across teams
    • Design campaign plans for new brand launches
    • Ensure robust technical communications
    • Explore development opportunities in Biological & Seedcare™
  4. Execute customer-focused strategy
    • Lead relationships with national advisors and research institutes
    • Develop strong customer relationships
    • Proactively address customer needs
    • Advocate for customer perspective internally
    • Analyze customer satisfaction metrics
  5. Work effectively across boundaries
    • Align with Market Development Manager and Business Development Manager
    • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing Intelligence, Customer Marketing, and CPD teams

Qualifications

Critical knowledge

  • · Bachelor’s degree in agronomy.
  • · Marketing (concepts, marketing mix principles, etc.) / Segmentation (concept and application)
  • · Business strategy development / Financial analysis / Business planning / Product knowledge
  • · Leadership skills: communicate with impact, lead change and hold ambiguity, manage for performance, collaborate across boundaries, build a culture of innovation
  • · Understanding of competitive environment, product management and line management
  • experience / Knowledge of influencers and channel management
  • · Agribusiness experience: knowledge of cropping practices and crop protection products

Critical experience

  • · Minimum of 5 years technical/ marketing / sales management experience
  • · Marketing, Portfolio or Sales experience in agrichemical business industry
  • · Familiar with the North African business environment

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities

  • · Apply Syngenta methodology in Market development (e.g. Training, Demo trial, Range Management, PLCM, etc.)
  •  · Understanding of crop agronomy (e.g. crop cycle, Biostimulant management, seed treatment techniques, application technologies)
  • · Familiar with Syngenta and main competitors Portfolio as well as market trends ·
  •  · Analytical thinking · Influential and communication skills
