Business Consultant - Procurement

Responsibilities:

• Procurement Subject Matter Expert or Procurement stream lead of major initiatives to deliver improvements towards best in class process & technology implementation
• Collect and document business requirements for project and process improvement/automation efforts
• Leading process redesign & change management workshops
• Educating business users responsible for managing and operating business processes
• Facilitate process workflow modelling in order to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities and clearly defined end-to-end use cases
• Review information and trends to ensure that the output of processes are achieving the desired results and that services are meeting agreed upon service levels
• Conduct maturity assessments against the process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns
• Identify issues and risks
• Bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management
• Own and drive the problem resolution
• Extract reports and provide a high-level analysis of data for review
• Maintain a complete understanding of and design processes to adherence of all Procurement policies and processes

·       Act as the interface between business users and business support teams

·       Own and lead design workshops for major initiatives and new requirements

·       Analysis of requirements on impact and feasibility of meeting those requirements

·       Drive Solution design to facilitate new requirements including system configuration

·       Creation of Business requirements specification documentation

·       Assess change requests for new requirements based on business case and securing the approval from change review board

·       Review and Approval of functional specification documentation.

·       Coordinating with respective stakeholders and 3rd party technical service providers for implementing the changes

·       User Acceptance testing for the implemented changes and production implementation

·       Support the Procurement Operations to review and maintain existing Desk top procedures and Operating manuals up to date

·       Generation & documentation of desk top procedures for new process

·       Deliver training and identify necessary upskilling for self and procurement operations teams.

·       Support the Procurement Operations manager in the capacity of SME for future releases and small changes.

·       Coordinating with SAP Ariba on evaluating the changes coming in future releases and identify the impact of the changes.

·       Understand Syngenta compliance requirements and conform to required standards and policies

·       Identify continuous improvement opportunities

·       Close collaboration with Syngenta IT  team and business leads to drive process and technology improvements

Required Experience

·       Bachelor’s Degree

·       Minimum 8-10 years of work experience in a major services organization with strong knowledge in Ariba Procure to Order platform across Ariba downstream modules (Ariba Guided Buying, Ariba network) and upstream modules (SLP, Sourcing and contracting)

·       Certified in SAP Ariba Sourcing and Procurement Modules

·       Deep understanding of SAP Materials management with strong focus on SAP procurement and supplier data models

·       Sound understanding of purchasing processes, Invoice processing and Vendor management

·       Ability to work independently as well as lead and participate in cross-functional teams

·       Intellectual curiosity and professional commitment to excellence

·       Fluent English skills- written and spoken

·       Attention to detail, sense of urgency, work ethic

Syngenta is currently running a Source to Pay Implementation program utilizing Ariba on demand platform. We are looking for a business consultant within Procurement operations who can support procurement business management globally across Syngenta.

This position reports to the Syngenta Procurement Operations Manager in APAC. 

Selected candidate will be based out of the Syngenta office in Pune with travel requirements on need basis
