The Assistant Manager of Digital Products will be responsible for implementing Syngenta’s Digital Agriculture strategy with a focus on leading the development and implementation of the digital ecosystem of platforms, products, solutions, and services. This overarching role will cover the following key areas:

  • Product Development
  • Product Operations
  • Growth
  • Business insights & Data analytics

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the overall design and implementation of digital transformation initiatives on an organizational level.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive e-commerce growth and increase digital sales.
  • Manage and optimize the company's e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless, user-friendly and unified buying experience for farmers.
  • Drive online demand generation through tele-sales, manage all types of conversion campaigns and optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with the Global Digital Marketing Team and local partners to implement and manage SEO strategies for organic growth across digital platforms.
  • Analyze mobile app and website traffic, sales data and farmer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  • Manage the Cropwise Grower mobile app and increase its adoption among farmers in Pakistan. The role involves shaping new features and functionalities, guiding them from concept to farmer use.
  • Build in-app engagement with farmers and create opportunities for digital sales through those engagements.
  • Perform regular QA/QC and work with engineering teams to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure products are bug-free.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define project scope, and contribute to UI/UX.
  • Lead the localization and customization of existing regional and global platforms, including business process digitalization.
  • Develop and implement digital products to effectively gather, manage, and utilize farmer data and profiles.
  • Create data templates and ensure data uniformity across all digital platforms. Develop and oversee the implementation of an integration plan for all use cases.
  • Understanding ecosystem partners’ products and integrating their offerings and services by embedding or integrating through APIs.
  • Develop a profound understanding of user needs and the local digital agriculture environment by continuously gathering feedback through face-to-face visits, interactions with the field team, and direct communication with farmers. Provide critical insights and recommendations for product development and offerings.
  • Maintain regular communication and collaboration with digital and IT teams within the region.

Skills

  • Mobile app design and strong understanding of UI/UX, data analysis, and app/web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude, Semrush, Ahrefs).
  • Experience with building in-app/web engagements using tools like Firebase, Clevertap, MoEngage, etc.
  • Familiarity with WhatsApp APIs, IVRs, and Call Center Systems.
  • E-commerce platforms, sales journey development and optimization.
  • Understanding of digital marketing concepts (SEO, PPC, Social Media Marketing).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with developers and other technical teams.

 


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in digital product management, e-commerce, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the digital agriculture or AgTech sector (preferred).
  • E-commerce experience is desirable.
  • Change management and transformation experience.
  • Business analytical and Planning skills.
  • Any experience creating or working with digital products tailored for Pakistan's rural audience is a significant advantage.
  • Solid business acumen with experience in AgTech, agriculture, or related fields is preferred.
