About this opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to provide a timely, positive, and effective service to the multi-disciplinary teams based at the Manchester Office. The role will sit within a small team, providing administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the site. This is a dynamic and varied role which provides excellent customer service both internally and externally, to multiple stakeholders.

You will be accountable for:

The role will include administrative support, event management and communications, interfacing with colleagues within the Manchester office and in other global locations.

  • To provide effective administrative support for the Manchester Office
  • To support the smooth running of site functions
  • To ensure effective site communication, using various collaboration tools including emails, Teams, Yammer
  • To be responsible for the tidiness and restocking of stationery for the site, including meeting rooms
  • On request to arrange meetings and events, including booking venues, transport and catering, and keeping accurate records.
  • To support with onboarding process for New Starters.
  • To Raise accurate purchase orders, being aware of relevant information needed to create orders successfully.

Skillset required for the role.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Able to develop good working relationships with the community in Manchester and quickly become familiar with activities where they can provide effective support.
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Share point, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational, planning and time management skills.
  • Commitment to providing a responsive and helpful service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, e.g., support with onboarding new starters, arranging social events and meetings.
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Awareness of Agrichemical industry
  • Good keyboard skills
  • Experience in creating communications and sharing via social media platforms, e.g., Yammer, LinkedIn

Qualifications

  • Minimum GCSE English and Maths or equivalent

Additional Information

Based in Didsbury, Manchester. This is a hybrid working role, with minimum three days in the Office.
