Role purpose

  • To build highest level of customer loyalty and customer satisfaction by having efficient communication and be pro-active in support and guidance with reference to all the received sample requests
  • Effective supply planning and logistics for intra and inter regional sample seeds delivery of vegetable seeds
  • To coordinate sample requests from and to internal customers (research, legal department) and external customers (other seed trading companies, trial stations and official international institutes) with the right quality and a complete set of documents in line with the International Trade Regulations and without delay.

The Sample Manager maintains close contact with both Marketing and Production and Supply ensuring the timely supply of trial seeds across the APAC region. This includes both interregional and intraregional communication and supply.

Accountabilities

  • Deliver good supply planning and internal customer service for all sample related activities across the region with a high level of communication and support
  • Provde support to APAC P&S operators for organising interregional and intraregional shipments of trial seeds
  • Give support to Product Specialists (PS) in timely material creation/extension and sample requesting (all handled via SKUPMIN tool)
  • Inform/update PS team and other stakeholders of any potential delays or country of origin limitations for new varieties
  • Support marketting team for regional trial seed requirements planning and use this as a basis for arranging stock movements
  • Assist with the further development of the Sample Request tool and related flows
  • Work in compliance with internal policies, SOX and  HSE requirements, local legislation and competition law
  • Reporting and communication to management and stakeholders as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Order Management & customer service  (minimum 5-8 years in a customer’s service related role in addition to 3-5 years in supply chain roles)
  • Sound interpersonal/influencing skills would also be required with respect to internal/external customers; 3rd party contractor; and external organisations.
  • Deep understanding on Syngenta Veg seeds supply chain.
  • Understanding of financial agro business and financial aspects that drives the supply chain operation.
  • Proven track record in customers service /order management area
  • Can demonstrate experience in change management, i.e. can describe tools and techniques used; changing people mind-set; anticipates and managing challenges.
  • IT systems, experienced in SAP-O2C, WMS, and MM modules or other WMS package
