Job description

As part of our activities in Germany, Syngenta is looking for an:

IT Site Services Manager (f/m/d) DACH

Role purpose:

The IT Site Services Manager acts as the leader and operational cornerstone for site-level IT services, bridging business needs with technology solutions while managing local IT operations and vendor relationships. As the primary IT ambassador, they champion innovation and drive excellence in IT service delivery by ensuring alignment with global standards and business objectives while maintaining operational continuity

Responsibilities/main tasks:

Site IT Leadership

  • Engage with site functional leaders for IT offer alignment
  • Single point of escalation for clients and global IT
  • Main liaison for IT Services stakeholders (internal)

Vendor Management

  • Implement local supplier management and SoW negotiation
  • Perform service review meetings with stakeholders
  • Monitor quality of IT Services delivered by local vendors

Operational Management

  • Incident and problem management with root cause analysis
  • IT Services budget management
  • Manage local IT Services projects and regional/global participation

Asset & Compliance

  • Manage hardware and software license inventory
  • Accountable for IT process and IT policies compliance
  • Manage local Information Security with global team support

Service Innovation

  • Manage IT Services communications to end users
  • Suggest/pilot new ideas
  • Facilitate 3rd parties as the face of IT on site

Qualifications

Knowledge and experience expected:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years in similar IT infrastructure role
  • Broad operational knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • Operational knowledge of IT service and/or technology delivery, quality management, operations and strategy development
  • Deep specialization in specific domain (networks/productivity tools)
  • Proficient communication skills in written and spoken English and German
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Awareness of current best practice in service / application management and experience in a delivery management / service management role
  • Understanding of IT procurement and contract law
  • Understanding of information security regulations including GDPR
