We are currently seeking a Genomic Editing Senior Scientist for the Molecular Technology team. The full-time position is located onsite, in Beijing, China, in the Innovation Center. As a Genomic Editing Senior Scientist, you will develop and improve Genome Editing technology in Syngenta crops.
You will help meet the world’s most pressing needs by:
- Leading and driving innovation in genome editing related technologies
Accountabilities
- Manage projects and activities to meet critical scientific milestones
- Pursue and generate Syngenta intellectual property
- Monitor experiment records
- Perform activities in compliance with Syngenta quality management and HSE guidelines
- Ensure capture of research data accuracy
Qualifications
Requirements
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Genetics, Genomic Studies, or Bioinformatics
- 3+ years of experience working in relevant fields
- Knowledge of genomic editing technology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology
- Knowledge of genome analysis, Genetics, and Agricultural Biotechnology
- Bilingual: Mandarin and English
Preferred Requirements
- Broad knowledge in crop improvements via genomic editing
- Data mining proficiency and use of various bioinformatics tools, programming and NGS analysis skills
- Direct experience in using molecular biology analysis software
- Scientific Project Planning, executing, and reporting skills
- Demonstrated knowledge in handling project change and delivery in a rapidly changing environment
