Job description

  • Provide technical input and support to the creation and delivery of the Crop campaigns.
  • Facilitate and lead local specific crop or integrated solutions, and the field-level generation of potential Integrated Solutions.
  • Actively participate in design, communication, and implementation of technical crop solutions.
  • Prepares and provides technical market support for local offers and products to maximise sales
  • Responsible for managing and delivering the technical relationship with key Distribution Accounts and Technical and Value Chain Influencers.
  • Lead Field Force training, demonstration and local story creation.
  • Execution of all asigned field trials and ARM reporting of trial results within set parameters.
  • Delivery of technical input (trials, demo, training, etc) into NPI launch plans.

Accountabilities

  • Identify, communicate and steward measurable technical attributes of our products and Integrated Solutions portfolio.
  • Plan and deliver commercial trials to build deep understanding of Syngenta product offers and maximize the impact of product launches and the overall commercial portfolio on sales and market share.
  • Develop training tools and materials to educate  stakeholders on new solutions.
  • Provide the technical leadership and co-ordination for internal and external demonstrations and product performance trials.
  • To conduct and manage an agreed number of field trials through all stages from initial planning to completion of final report (including spraying, etc.)
  • To effectively manage a multi-trial trials site on a commercial farm. Including site design, farmer liaison and compensation negotiations.
  • Leverage understanding of unique selling points (USP’s) to efficiently sell on the value of Syngenta products and offers and drive market share gains.
  • Crop expertise: Provide agronomic support, training and coaching to the sales force, key account managers, channel partners and grower customers and campaign team
  • Solution and product launch maximization: identify potential solutions to address grower needs and  support new product launches via participation in trials and training.
  • Claim opportunity support: resolve grower complaints and create new opportunities.
  • Position Syngenta for success with internal and external stakeholders within the assigned crop market. E.g., Develop  grower agronomic solution partnership opportunities, coach sales forcebuild relationship to Key Accounts and Centers of Influence
  • Drive technical Market / Competitor knowledge gathering, gap identification and reporting.
  • Provide expert technical input for pre-launch, launch– defining technical campaign needs and prepare technical material.
  • Develop sales demo product protocols and plans as defined by campaigns and company strategy and lead results interpretation.
  • Co-ordinate product stewardship review via Sales and the Campaign teams.
  • Take lead in delivery of GGP targets
  • Where relevant maximize use of digital tools in the execution of duties.
  • Adherence to HSE requirements in the workplace

Qualifications

Critical Knowledge

  • Hold critical internal and external crop expertise across a range of agronomic and market conditions
  • Understanding of the role / value of technical information in a commercial environment.
  • Knowledge of field trials techniques in all crop protection disciplines - replicated and demonstration trials – and of quality standards.
  • In-depth crop, seed & product knowledge - labelled and actual use patterns
  • Designing protocols that relate to the objective of the trials

Critical Experience

  • In-field technical experience.
  • In-field experience in a commercial environment.
  • Experience of field trials and interpretation of outcomes.
  • Report writing
  • Communication skills

  • University degree holder in Agriculture or related field

  • 100% trial execution as per agreed trial plan
  • 90% trial conclusiveness
  • Trial data in the ARM system within 7 days

Excelling in technical commercial support on all levels (internal, external stakeholders, on existing products and contribution towards new product introductions)
