Job Description

At our research center in Stein (Aargau, Switzerland), we offer several a 6-month internship in Biology for highly motivated students ideally starting in the beginning or middle of 2026. During your internship you will have the opportunity to support exciting research projects in areas, such as:

  1. Benchmarking of insecticides
  2. Plant phenotyping

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing greenhouse experiments and method development
  • Data analysis and reporting of results
  • Imaging and phenotyping
  • Capture of insect behavior and symptoms
  • Collaborating with different Scientists

Qualifications

What are we looking for:

  • BSc Degree, Agricultural Science or related disciplines.
  • Biological laboratory technician, or equivalent experience in Biology
  • We are looking for enthusiastic students with a strong academic record and good communication skills who are currently enrolled in or recently finished Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Biology.
  • Experience in applied entomology and/or agrochemical research
  • Fluent English or German required
  • Strong foundation in MS Office suite
  • Previous experience in working in a laboratory or in designing and conducting bioassays is greatly valued.
  • Experience with advanced data analysis software like R, ImageJ, Python or Microsoft PowerBi is a plus.
  • Experience in imaging or photography is a plus.
