As one of Syngenta's premier R&D centres, the Stein site welcomes frequent visits from colleagues  and partners worldwide. The Site Engagement & Communication Manager acts as the central liaison  for these visiting teams, ensuring smooth collaboration between international guests and local  operations while providing vital communication and operational support to all site functions.
This dynamic role offers extensive exposure to global stakeholders and cross-functional teams—from  research and development to commercial operations. Job Description

  • Lead the visitor office and visitor team in supporting all visiting teams at the Stein site
  • Design, enhance and deliver comprehensive site orientation programs for international visitors. Evaluate visitor program effectiveness and implement improvements. Share best practices with other R&D Syngenta sites globally
  • Facilitate effective communication between the site management team and the site functions as well as Syngenta Global functions
  • Coordinate with EHS and Security to maintain site protocols and ensure visitor compliance with site safety, security and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage proactively with site leadership on visitor programs and site communication needs
  • Develop innovative approaches to enhance cross-cultural collaboration
  • Act as a point of contact with other Syngenta R&D sites across the globe for sharing best practices regarding site operations
  • Support site management team and site manager with various topics

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in life science (chemistry, biology, biosciences) or engineering degree
  • Knowledge of the agrochemical industry
  • Knowledge of R&D operations
  • Experience in project management
  • Knowledge of Chinese culture is important, as many visitors or stakeholders are coming from China
  • International experience is a plus
  • Savvy in the latest technology and in implementing them pragmatically. 
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English is a must
  • Ability to make complex information accessible to a broader audience
  • Willingness to lead change
  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Limited travel possible to interact face to face with counterpart in other research sites.
